Able to use Cacti without PHP Binary Path?

Post by alivetekdragon »

We already have a server that is running PHP as an Apache module. We have curl installed to call php pages with crontab. I tried installing Cacti and used curl to call the poller.php but I noticed that the graphs weren't showing up. I tried calling poller.php with curl but that just gives:
<br><strong>This script is only meant to run at the command line.</strong>
Is there some way that Cacti can work with this rather than recompiling PHP to run as a CGI program?

The poller is not designed to be run from the web server, so no, using Curl to execute it will not work.

Thanks for the replies. Is there another way that I can configure Cacti to work with PHP running as an Apache module?
