As part of 0.8.8 "Extensive support for syslog " could some intel about SNMP trap receiver be included. ?

Or could sombody really cool write a plugin or script for SNMP traps be written?

Not interested in sending one just receiving.

Take a look at the syslog plugin, and snmptt (which helps turn SNMP traps into syslog messages).

I think the support for syslog in 0.8.8 is for Cacti's own logging... could be wrong about that though.

Yeah I have looked at snmptt with sysloging it was confusing for me so much so that I put it on the shelf for the time being. I have not found a simple ( For dummies) like instruction guide.

Extensive Syslog support is no where near SNMP trap support.
