Post by mongaron »

My cacti(Version 0.8.6h) stopped shown me graphs although I have SNMP connection to the servers

my cacti log file is showing me this errors every couple of seconds till the mysql(Version: '4.0.26-standard') is down

In addition running tail /var/spool/mail/root gives me the following:
Failed object: .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6.5

Error in packet
Reason: (noSuchName) There is no such variable name in this MIB.
Failed object: .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6.4

Error in packet
Reason: (noSuchName) there is no such variable name in this MIB.
Failed object: .1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6.3

when i ran snmpwalk on the other objects i am getting a response
and when i ran on a machine Verbose Query from the DEVICES link i get a response either.

i must add that all of this started from erasing some of the devices and for some i kept the database info and for others i didn’t.

please advice

Those should be tackled first. Why does your MySQL break? Did you try to "repair" all database tables (or run myisamchk)

no i havent tried to repair the database cause i am not that good at mysql.
should i just ran myisamchk?
in addition here is the errors that i get after mysql is down when trying to connect to the cacti webserver:
Warning: mysql_pconnect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /var/www/cacti_new/lib/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 355

Warning: mysql_pconnect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /var/www/cacti_new/lib/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 355

when trying to connect to mysql from the sever i get
ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

about the SNMP2 i will at it after solving the SQL staff.
thanks in advanced
