Hello,
I would like to set the upper limit of my graph to be the speed of the interface, as opposed to using auto-scale. Rather than hard code the speed in, I would like to have the template use the SNMP value gathered as ifSpeed as the upper limit on the graph. Is this possible? If so, how?
Thanks for any help you can provide,

Re: SNMP interface speed as graph upper limit
Hi
I think you do this using the rrd max type in the data query.
What I think you do is in the data template tick the
Maximum Value
Use Per-Data Source Value (Ignore this Value)
Then in your data query and click on the associated graph template then in the data template section
Then in the first field put this
|query_ifSpeed|
Then in the second field put this
rrd_maximum
if you look at the standard interface templates you should see this. This will allow to put the speed in each time you add a port/interface. If this is not what you are after then I don't know how to do it using the snmp value.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
