I currently USE MRTG without any trouble it reads from all my Cisco Switches. But with cacti I have trouble reading the data from most of my cisco switches..
What can the problem be, i think its a problem on the cacti side because I have no problemen to read the statistics with mrtg or another program from the same pc.
Also cacti is saying the device is down¿
Pleas help

Change the downtime detection method in Settings to SNMP.
Increase the timeout and memory values in your php.ini file.
Also consider upgrading to cacti 0.8.7a.
