I figured it out. I have cookies enabled on my phpMyAdmin, with 1800 seconds for timeout. If i am logged in to phpMyAdmin, and the session has not expired, then when i click on the link, it opens just fine. The problem comes when i have to log back in, and that is where the frames get broken. I will look at increasing the cookie timeout, and locating where the frames get broken on the login page.

Please place a feature request at this location:

I have a very simple solution to this.

Something in the URL to make top_header.php just silently pass? That would be handy.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.

That's the plan. Simply pass a token in the URL and magic, Cacti becomes portable.

Hi Howard

thanks for this great plugin !

Would it be possible to place the "Extra" block on top of "Utilities" ?
My goal is to leave the "Logout User" link at the bottom.

Thanks in advance :)

Good idea. Done in the next version.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.

Since I think other people might find it useful too, here's another 'content' example for superlinks - a report to show which users have which rights.

Drop the file into the content directory, and add it as a console menu item (probably best)...

automatic refresh

Post by otisbrown »

I have noticed that when I create a link in a tab the page viewed in that page automatically refreshes. I have some pages I do not want to be automatically refreshed. I have tried to change the refresh setting under the misc tab to 0 to change this, but it had no effect. Is there a way to change this?

Huh? What refresh setting in the misc tab? :-?

Anyway, the answer as far as I know is no. The refresh header is put there by Cacti as part of it's standard template. The place to change it is in the graph settings (the settings TAB when you are looking at graphs), but then it will change it for all pages.

Hmm. Actually, it looks like there's a PIA hook for the refresh time now, so possibly a future superlinks could set it per-page.

Thanks Howie,

The setting I was referring to was setting-->misc-->refresh interval. But after a closer look, it is part of the monitor plugin.

I created links for our nagios monitor and cvs repository and the refresh causes those links to refresh back to the original link (hopefully that makes sense).
It would be great if a future release had the capability to modify the automatic refresh built into cacti. I am not sure how useful it would be to everyone else or if it is possible, but I think it would be a useful add. :D
