Does Windows not want to give up it's SNMP stats to Cacti?
If I change the device type to Win2k/XP, the host.php file grinds away forever. Is this normal when reading say a Win2k server? I don't think I've ever let it finish - if it will.
Using snmpwalk (net-snmp, Win32) produces a crapload of data. Same on my WinXP machine. Cacti seems to stall on those systems (maybe it's the crapload of data causing the stall). On my NW 6.5, 4.2 everything is fast and works great.
Any tips? I'm heading to bed to see if it works if I leave it grinding away.
Thanks.
AB.

I use the program SNMP4W2K from www.wtcs.org to monitor windows PC's
Other versions (for Win95 systems, linux pc's..) are also available on their site. This has to be installed on every pc you want to monitor. It gives you a lot more of polling possibilities than windows standard has.

Thanks Dieter, it's installed. I assume when configuring Cacti then, configure as a Win2k/WinXP machine.
