You mean SVN or the released 0.8.7a?

Hi,

I am currently having problems compiling from SVN:

j@machine:~/main$ ./bootstrap
+ aclocal
/usr/share/aclocal/pkg.m4:5: warning: underquoted definition of PKG_CHECK_MODULES
run info '(automake)Extending aclocal'
or see http://sources.redhat.com/automake/auto ... ng-aclocal
/usr/share/aclocal/imlib.m4:9: warning: underquoted definition of AM_PATH_IMLIB
/usr/share/aclocal/imlib.m4:167: warning: underquoted definition of AM_PATH_GDK_IMLIB
/usr/share/aclocal/gtk.m4:7: warning: underquoted definition of AM_PATH_GTK
/usr/share/aclocal/glib.m4:8: warning: underquoted definition of AM_PATH_GLIB
/usr/share/aclocal/gdk-pixbuf.m4:12: warning: underquoted definition of AM_PATH_GDK_PIXBUF
+ autoheader
+ automake --foreign --add-missing --copy
+ autoconf
j@machine:~/main$ chmod a+x configure
j@machine:~/main$ ./configure
checking build system type... link: too few arguments
Try `link --help' for more information.
configure: error: cannot guess build type; you must specify one

Been through everything to make sure that g++ and cpp is installed. I'm at a loss.

Are you sure g++ is installed? I had the same problem but I didn't have the g++ installed.
Check your /lib/cpp does it exist? or is it a symlink.

Is that part of autoconf?
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.

Is this going to be released as patch? if it is, estimated timeline?

Does this get reflected under the technical support.. as 0.8.7a version?

We are working on it. It may have to wait a few days. We are having some communication issues.

You need to check that the soft links in the config directory point to your system's mkinstalldirs etc.

[TheWitness: Curious now. What is it about Spine that makes autoconf so much more complicated than any other piece of software? ]

Libtool, which I will revert in the next release.

Hi all

Spine 0.8.7a has been "officially" released.

For those who were already running it, you should re-download it, as it contains 2 more bug fixes :
-bug#0001097: Add patch to allow unknown values
-bug#0001101: Fix ICMP hang while in a timed out state
