Two possible reasons:

1) You are using Cacti 0.8.7 - this is a known bug caused by some recent changes in Cacti. There will be a new weathermap soon (in the next few days) which fixes this.

2) You are using an older version of Cacti, but you haven't set up editor-config.php correctly to point to your Cacti installation.

My bet is on 1.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Howie,

As ever you are correct - I am using 0.8.7. I shall wait for the updated weather map.

Thanks man.

All,

Sadly it looks like I cannot work out how to do it manually - ie the info URL & Hover Graph URL.

Can any explain to me how to manuall configure this please?? I am having trouble?

Thanks in advance.

The hover URL is the URL of an image (it MUST be an image), so find the graph image that you want to appear, in Cacti, then right-click and choose Copy Shortcut.

The info URL is usually an HTML page, so find the page you want a click to go to, and copy that page's URL.

It's nothing fancier than that. It's just that the editor saves you looking in Cacti directly.

Howie,

I have done what you have suggested - but when I mouse over the node, I get a white square with a red X in the middle of it??

So if you look in the config file, what do the INFOURL and OVERLIBGRAPH lines look like?

That sounds like the URL is not an image but an HTML page.

[did I say Copy Shortcut? I meant Copy Image Shortcut...]

Howie,

You were right - like you always are, I was pointing the hover url to the page and not an image

Thanks.
