2 Possible Bugs in 0.8.7

Post by menardk »

I have two potential bugs. The first is related to changing a devices 'Maximum OID's Per Get Request' value from a device's settings page. Changing the value in the field provided and saving the config does not appear to update the value in the database. If you go to the main device list page check the device in question and select 'Change SNMP Options' from the action drop down and change the 'Maximum OID's Per Get Request' setting there and selecting 'Save' updates the device's settings.
The second bug relates to graph creation. I have a number of data templates where the 'Step' and 'Heartbeat' values are set on a per datasource setting. So when you go over to create graphs based on the datasource you should be prompted during creation to setup the values for 'Step' and 'Heartbeat'. What happens is that on the first graph the requires both settings to be set before the graph is created both fields are present. All datasource settings that follow the first are missing the ability to individually set the 'Step' value and only shows the 'Heartbeat' field.

Anyone else seem this?

Plugin Arch is not installed and it is a fresh install.

Picture of the Second Bug

Post by menardk »

Rather than try and describe the problem a picture is worth a thousand words. Here is a screen capture of the process of creating multiple graphs for a device. Some of the graphs reference DS Templates the allows the step and heartbeat to be set at the time of graph creation. As you can see from the picture only the first DS template has the step value field available to modify the default. Each subsequent DS template is missing the step field but the heartbeat field is available to be modified.

Sounds like a missing checkbox in the data source template.

It is there. I have confirmed that. This bug only shows up when a number of graphs are done at once. If you setup the graphs one at a time it works just fine.
