All users can list all hosts and templates

Hi,

Im not sure if this is the Plugin Architecture 1.2 or Cacti 0.8.7 but now when all my users log in they are normally restricted to see only their host and graphs.

Now if a user logs in they can click preview mode then where at the top you can select Host and/or Graph Template they can see all the hosts listed or Graph Templates.

However you can select a host from that list and the graph isnt displayed which is a good thing

Is this a bug with either Cacti or the PA?

Please verify that you have the correct authentication method selected and post your results.

Hi,

Yup using builtin authentication. Authing is ok for all users.

Forgot to say all was ok before I upgraded to the latest version.

Hi,

Thanks, I completed the Cacti upgrade on Thursday. A customer pointed out to me today that the list was available along with a list of our customers that he was reading off down the phone to me

Please confirm you authentication setting.

I have checked permission functionality and can't find any issues.

Hi,

Yeah. They can still view the graphs they are allowed access to which is correct but they shouldnt be able to drop down the list of all the hosts and client templates that Cacti is monitoring.

When they do select a host from the drop down they cant see the graph for it which is correct but in seeing the list they now get a list of all our hosts and a couple of our customers.

I can email you some screen shots? I dont want to publicly post them

Ok, here are three modified files. They do not include the PIA. So, if you are running it, you may have more work. Did not check.

They are:

<path_cacti>/include/html/inc_graph_view_filter_table.php
<path_cacti>/include/html/inc_graph_filter_table.php
<path_cacti>/graph_view.php

Let me know if this get's it.

Hi,

thats done the trick for the Host drop down

However you can still see the custom templates in the Graph Template drop down but its alot less than it was and that doesnt really cause any issues.

Yup I have got the PIA installed.
