remote mysql server - resolved...

hi guys,

i'm trying to get cacti working with a seperate MySQL Server, i can connect too the mysql port on 3306 fine from the Cacti machine and access the cacti database itself, but when i specify the IP of the machine in include/config.php it just wont connect and sais the following error.

FATAL: Cannot connect to MySQL server on '192.168.0.2'. Please make sure you have specified a valid MySQL database name in 'include/config.php'

is there something i'm missing? or is this feature not available..

my bad, i had selinux enabled.
