No, it's not you, it's a Cacti problem.

The Load Average graph shows 3 values - yellow (1 minute load average), orange (5 minute load average), dark orange (15 minute load average). It shows them so that the top black line is 1min+5min+15min, which is not a useful number.

All I meant was that you should read the top of the yellow section to get the REAL 1min load average, and not the top of the whole graph.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

You can change the Graph Template for 'ucd/net - Load Average' so that is shows three seperate lines, or you can delete the items you don't care about from that Graph Template too.

Here's how:

Go to Graph Templates, choose 'ucd/net - Load Average', and you can see the components of the graph. If you click on the "Item n" part for the lines that say 'AREA' or 'STACK', then you get the detail for that Item. Where it says 'AREA' or 'STACK', choose 'LINE1' to get a 1-pixel line. If you do that for all three, then you will have a graph with three lines that mean something!

If you prefer to just have one value, then you can click the red X next to the lines that you don't want to see.

When you change the Graph Template, it affects all the graphs that you have created with that template already - no need to make new graphs.
