Trying to compile for Centos 4, no luck so far.

EDIT: Got it working, seems to work fine with a few minor tests! This is great!

I have created a PHP Class to help with executing the binary, and parsing the results. Now to create some graphs.

If anyone wants the compiled binary for Centos (it does require a few shared libraries) and the script, let me know.

Hi Jimmy,
knowing you are really busy with plugins and stuff, it would be very nice to have some words howto use this stuff. I only need a start. If I understand, I do a full writeup for a HowTo at http://docs.cacti.net

I use CentOS. I would love to give it a try if you have it done. Where can I get it?

Thanks a bunch!

I am currently writing a plugin to help integrate this into Cacti. Basically what I envision is having an area to create "authentication credentials" (basically the username / password set are stored) and then you can set the different hosts to use a specific account for authentication (so don't have to retype them over and over). From there the class will lookup the host, and pull the appropriate username password out of the database (then decrypt the password) and pass that to the binary. This will help save some time and sanity I believe.

The class is currently simplistic, I plan on adding functions to pull out the exact data you want (kinda like a SQL query on an array) but until then you can play with the example I give.
