THOLD 0.3.6 possible bug ?

Post by mcutting »

I have a strange issue that I have noticed with this plugin. I get THOLD alerts, which is great, but whilst the title of the email shows the correct host, the body of the message does not - it shows another host that has nothing to do with the THOLD breached ??
The initial email to alert that the host has exceed the threshold exhibits this issue. The email when the host returns to normal threshold does not.
Any ideas as to why this is ?

The 'wrong host' isn't host #3 in your database is it?
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

No, but I noticed a bug in 0.3.5.2 that I posted about the other week, where after altering settings in the THold UI, the host_id in the database for that threshold in the thold_data table changes so that it's host_id is 3. Wondered if that was another symptom of the same problem.

Howie,

Is CSV export working for you?

Yes it is. I was going to figure out a feature request for it so that Excel will open directly from the download, but other than that, yes. (there's a special MIME type - RT uses the same trick).

The Thold bug I saw (and at least one other person, so I wasn't dreaming), was with 0.8.6j and THold 0.3.5.2 though - I haven't checked since yesterday if it still exists.
