THOLD 0.3.5.2 Alerting Problem

A development:

The global alerts do not seem to work. If you look at the data source for the THOLD item, the global alerts are not being populated properly. I added an additional email address for this particular source, and got the alert first time in my email.

Either this is a bug, or there is something wrong in my THOLD setup. I have checked, and all the tables as defined in the .sql file are present.

Still not corrected in 0.8.7, PA 1.2, and T-hold 0.3.6. The notify accounts box is still blank just like in the picture above.

Did you goto a user in user admin, and add an email address for them?

Oops, my bad.. Hadn't done that - sorry.

So, there really should just be a global email account which gets applied to all thresholds and then individial accounts added to certain thresholds?

The global email address alerting was removed, as the next major release includes some huge changes which made it not work (pagers, scripts, sms, etc...). I figured it was best to phase it out now.

If you create threshold using the templates, then you should be able to propagate it to all the thresholds using that template saving a lot of time. If not, you could also do a single sql query to add it to all thresholds in the "extra emails" box.
