Hi All
I hop you can help?
I am using win2k server and followed the install instructions to the letter (probably but....
"The server has encountered a configuration error attempting to process your request. The configuration parameter MD_SCRIPT_MAPS (6014) has an invalid value. Please contact the server administrator for assistance."
Any ideas?
Looking through the logs there are no errors apart from in registerIASPI.log
C:\DOCUME~1\UKAE5D~1.ADM\LOCALS~1\Temp\1\nsv35.tmp\registerISAPI.vbs(70, 5) (null): The system cannot find the path specified

Did you google the error? It appears to be related to IIS. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321013
After you fix the metabase, make sure to follow the post-install documentation for the installation guide, so PHP is set up properly.

Cacti 0.8.7 isn't out yet, so I haven't made an installer. I'll wait at least a week or two before creating one, just in case there are extra patches which are released.krap_rz wrote:any news on 0.8.7 cacti installer for windows (i mean version 1.7).
Yes, you'll follow the generic upgrade guide.krap_rz wrote:anyway, if there is any, how are we gonna export from the current version to a new one?

Do the default pages in IIS even work? i.e. visit http://localhost/ and see if anything works.
Did you reboot the server yet?
Make sure you don't have a firewall/AV blocking IIS traffic.

Hi bsod2600,
If we were to install the new 0.8.7 version to your cacti installer v1.6 just by extract, copy and paste, would it be a problem for win2k3 iis to run? I am not able to test, since i do not have any spare hardware to test.
If can, do i need to turn off the cacti scheduled poller, mysql or iis? Please advice. Thank you.

I haven't tested cacti 0.8.7, so can't exactly say. But as I previous stated, follow the upgrade guide.
Yes you should disable the cacti task while upgrading.

Worked for me!
I tried the manual config and took awhile to troubleshoot... then I found the beta installer, after a few minutes to download, a few minutes to tweak, and we're up and running.
we love it.

I have dowloaded your cacti installer. After installing it, what configurations need to be done? Are there documents or instructions?
thanks

Can the installer run on Windows 2003 x64?
I'm a total boob when it comes to open source, so your beta installer has been excellent. I've done some successful installs on a test machine, but now I have a production server with Windows 2003 x64 Standard edition. Will this installer work in that environment? Thanks, - Dan
