Problem Installing CACTI

Hi Please help
I try to install the cacti an i have a broblem-

[root@localhost cacti]# rpm -ivh cacti-0.8.6j.fc5.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
rrdtool is needed by cacti-0.8.6j-1.i386
i installed the rrdtool but still the cacti rpm keep requiring it.
for what i saw the rrdtool is install in /usr/local/rrdtool-1.2.16
is there any way while installing the cacti rpm to point for it to this location?
I am new with linux so be tolerant

rpm -ivh --nodeps cacti-0.8.6j.fc5.i386.rpm 

That should install with ignoring dependencies.

I would suggest you link /usr/local/rrdtool to /usr/local/rrdtool-1.2.16

Maybe...

But if you set your paths to rrdtool correctly in Cacti, or you line /usr/local/rrdtool to the install rrdtool, you should be ok.

I still have problem:
I follow the linux installation guide at step 3
[root@localhost cacti]# mysql cacti < cacti.sql
-bash: cacti.sql: No such file or directory
[root@localhost cacti]#

Any idea ?

Is there a cacti.sql file in your root cacti directory?
