Graphs stop updating after a time

Post by ariesgeek »

It looks like everything runs for a couple of hours, then stops working. My poll time at the beginning of the couple of hours is aout 80 seconds. It works its way up to about 120 seconds, then stops updating. Cactid no longer gives the SYSTEM STATS log message.

I read on another thread sometime back that when this happens to do a "delete from poller_output where time < NOW();" and that does fix it... for 2 hours.

The fix in that thread was to increase the php memory. Well, I'm at 512M now.

Thoughts?

Redhat Enterprise. The latest as of a couple months go, not sure the version.

Yep Everything's been restarted, including mysqld. Now that I think about it, the machine's even been shutdown and brought back up.

That's quite HUGE. What is your polling time? Did you consider BOOST?

It's actually small compared to what I was originally going to do.

Polling time is generally about 80 seconds after I do the "delete" command. Every polling cycle it increases. Once it gets to around 120 seconds, it craps out. I do the "delete" command and I'm back to 80 seconds again.

I've considered boost but you mentioned not to use it unless I need it. With polling times this low, I don't really see a need. Unless you think it may fix my problem, but I doubt that will fix it.

Think I should try upping the php memory to a gig? Any stats I can show you from anywhere?

It's pretty large but not the largest. I would be interested in auditing your installation, but that does not do to well over posting systems. What is your availability for a quick meeting.
