HELP.......no graphs showing in cacti....

I'm really new at this linux/cacti, and need some help. I'm running CENTOS 5 with cacti-0.8.6j, net-snmp-5.2.4, rrdtool-1.2.23, php 5....I am able to get to the web interface fine, but when created devices/graphs, no graphs are displaying. Only a box with the hostname and a red X. Can someone point me to the right direction on what the problem may be. I've attached a screen shot.

Hi, I'm very new to cacti but I am making progress, however I am having problems getting the results I want e.g. a fully working cacti install....

I have installed cacti on CentOS 5 following this howto

for the most part it works,

So I am able to log into my cacti and view tree view and create devices, but I have no graphs.... I see this in the log file

I thought it might be a permisions problem so I checked for .rrd files in the
/var/www/cacti/rra
directory but can't find any there

I changed the ownership of the file anyways to owner cacti:cacti but this didn't make any difference

So here I am without graphs....... I have been reading the links in gandalf's signature but really I don't know whats going on so any help would be great

my snmp was not configured properly
