RRD Error

Post by booyah24 »

I know this has been addressed before, but I'm not getting any graphs at all. The graph debug produces the following information:

RRDTool Command:

c:/rrdtool/rrdtool.exe graph - \
--imgformat=PNG \
--start=-86400 \
--end=-300 \
--title="cp-visionapp - Available Disk Space" \
--rigid \
--base=1024 \
--height=120 \
--width=500 \
--alt-autoscale-max \
--lower-limit=0 \
--vertical-label="bytes" \
AREA:#002A97:"Total" \
GPRINT::LAST:" Current\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT::AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT::MAX:"Maximum\:%8.2lf %s\n" \
AREA:#F51D30:"Used" \
GPRINT::LAST:" Current\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT::AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT::MAX:"Maximum\:%8.2lf %s\n"
RRDTool Says:

ERROR: parameter '#002A97' does not represent a number in line AREA:#002A97:Total

I used the windows installation package which loads all the required apps. The server hosting the application is windows 2003. I'm a newb to this and would appreciate any help offered!!! Thanks...

You must have used an older version of the Windows Installer. You really should upgrade cacti to 0.8.6j and then patch it. Instructions are in my installation guide (in signature).

As for the error, go to data sources for the cp-visionapp device. Find the Available Disk Space entry and make sure there Total and Used sources have been selected.

I updated and patched as recommended. Now I'm getting the following error message when accessing the site:

Error

You have created a new database, but have not yet imported the 'cacti.sql' file. At the command line, execute the following to continue:

mysql -u cactiuser -p cacti < cacti.sql

This error may also be generated if the cacti database user does not have correct permissions on the cacti database. Please ensure that the cacti database user has the ability to SELECT, INSERT, DELETE, UPDATE, CREATE, ALTER, DROP, INDEX on the cacti database.

Is there a file I need to modify in order to access the current database??

Yes, /cacti/include/config.php. This is documented in the upgrade guide.

Are all graphs broken (what have you graphed) or just the disk space? Try this guide: http://docs.cacti.net/node/283
