Cisco Catalyst 4006 - Most Graphs Blank

Post by Cacklewack »

Operating System: Windows Server 2003
Webserver: IIS
Cacti: 0.8.6j
MySQL: 5.0.45
PHP: 5.2.4
RRDTool (Cygwin or Win32 version): 1.2.15
Net-SNMP: 5.4.1.1

Greetings,

I just recently installed Cacti on a Windows 2003 server. Everything is working fine for my Cisco 2500 routers, but I cannot get most of the graphs to work on Catalyst 4006 Switches. Most of them are showing nan. When debugging for one of the switches on the Cisco CPU Graph it shows:

RRDTool Command:

c:/rrdtool/rrdtool.exe graph - \
--imgformat=PNG \
--start=-86400 \
--end=-300 \
--title="CNI_Core_Switch - CPU Usage" \
--rigid \
--base=1000 \
--height=120 \
--width=500 \
--alt-autoscale-max \
--lower-limit=0 \
--vertical-label="percent" \
--slope-mode \
DEF:a="C\:/Inetpub/wwwroot/cacti/rra/cni_core_switch_5min_cpu_10.rrd":5min_cpu:AVERAGE \
AREA:a#FF3932:"CPU Usage" \
GPRINT:a:LAST:"Current\:%8.0lf" \
GPRINT:a:AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.0lf" \
GPRINT:a:MAX:"Maximum\:%8.0lf"

RRDTool Says:

OK

Any ideas why this graph is blank? What host/graph templates should I be using for these switches?

Thanks!

Matt

Sounds like they use different OIDs.

Look in the snmp cache for that device, in cacti. Manually snmpwalk the OID that is listed for the cpu usage. Does it return any data?

BSOD,

Thanks for your response. I know how to do an SNMP Walk, but I'm not sure how to look at the SNMP cache for that device and find the OID for CPU usage...

Any tips?

Thanks!

BSOD,

I found the SNMP cache, did an SNMP Walk with the OID for CPU utilization and it returned no results.

How do I find the correct OID for CPU utilization for this switch?

Thanks!

Looking at the Cacti Log I am seeing the following for the CPU Usage entry:

search the script forum for others which have posted it or search cisco's site for which MIBs the router supports.
