Can't poll SNMPv1 devices

Hi all,

I am building a new cacti server for a network and I'm migrating all the devices across and I have come across an interesting problem.

Both boxes are Solaris9 and running 0.8.6j.

I have 130 odd v2c devices graphing with no errors, but when I try to add my v1 devices I get an error in the logs saying the poller has exceeded the 292 second timeout.

I can add the v1 devices and it correctly walks the interfaces and gets the system information, it just doesn't seem to poll. I am using cmd.php.

I did a dump on the interface and no snmp traffic is leaving my cacti server to these devices either.

I'm not too sure where to start troubleshooting this one.

Please query the poller_command table to see, if those devices show up

of which there are 17 more records similar to the above.

I had a look at poller_item which looked more like what I think you're after (hostname, community, rrd file etc...) and they are not listed in that table.

This may or may not make a difference but I am successfully graphing other parts of these v1 devices using scripts.

Should have been more precice. Please visit http://localhost/cacti/utilities.php?ac ... snmp_cache and try to find your device

Yes there are entries in SNMP Cache Items for the v1 devices.
It lists the hostname, and OID to get etc... which all looks correct.

Please use cmd.php or cactid to poll only that device. Please switch to DEBUG mode for cmd.php or use --verbosity=5 for cactid

[edit] - Just noticed a couple errors in what I did.

I have built a new server and added a single SNMPv1 device and I have create a load average graph for that device.

I have set the logging to debugging and I will attach a copy as it is rather verbose.

There are the 3 data sources in the Poller Cache, but the SNMP cache is empty.

No SNMP traffic is being generated from the cacti server.

Please make sure that cacti is fully patched
