Holes in graphs for polled Windows disks

Post by scotia »

Hi all,
I am getting big gaps in graphs which use the Windows 2K host template - specifically the disk space graphs:
I have cleared the poller cache - and for some graphs it started working properly - for others it stopped. (it's pretty obvious when i rebuilt the cache)
Even stranger is the "inverted" look of two different disks, where one works while the other fails.
I have attached some pictures.
The server is running poller.php on a freebsd 6.2 server. Everything else works fine (other windows graphs, other windows disk graphs, cisco and freebsd graphs).
Maybe it has to do with the names I give the volumes?
Thanks
Scott

Select the host, then look for the affected graphs. Click the round circle on each of these to refresh the SNMP collection. Between poller cycles, rebuild the poller cache.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll give that a go.
Btw, when I went to the host - I could refresh the mounted paritions query, but not the individual graphs.
I'll take a look in the morning and post a reply.
Many thanks for the tip.

Ok, still no good. For perhaps one poll after I made the change some graphs worked - but then failed after that
I've attahced a few more graphs - I made the change (refreshed the query and rebuild the cache) about 1am.
Notice the strange few spikes in two of the graphs - when one worked the other didn't.

How about if you stop and restart the SNMP service on this host, then repeat the above steps again ?

Thanks for the suggestion. Still no joy. Here are some more strange examples.
