Problem with Cacti and EasyPHP

Hai all,

I have installed Cacti 0.8.6j with EasyPHP 2.0 beta 1 on windows XP but when I have access to « Cacti console » and I choose « devices » I find that the status of my localhost is « Unknown ».

Could you please help me ?

Did you enable SNMP support in your PHP setup ?

In fact, the only thing that I have done concerning snmp and php was deleting ";" on "extension=php_snmp.dll " in the php_ini file.

Is it true?

Have you installed net-snmp ?

net-snmp tools are not required if php 5.2 is installed, but still handy to have. Their snmp agent is strongly NOT recommended.

oradist: Did you install the windows snmp service? Setup a public community name and allowed IPs? Allowed SNMP in your firewall/AV ?

Yes, I have installed net-snmp with rrdtool, cactid, cacti and easyphp. I have also installed the windows snmp version with a public community but the problem persist.

I have tried another solution by installing approximatively the versions included on easyphp that are apache 2.0.59, php 5.2.0 and mysql 5.0.27 and net-snmp 5.4.0-1, cactid 0.8.6e and rrdtool 1.2.15 but I have the same problem.

Are you able to use net-snmp snmpwalk or getif to query the Windows box? If not, then the snmp agent isnt setup properly or a firewall is blocking traffic.
