[help plz]no rrd files created with cactid

Post by gachoyi »

with poller.php, rrd files are created, and cacti works well.
when change to cactid,i got the output like:

Code: Select all

CACTID: Using cactid config file [cactid.conf]
         CACTID: Version 0.8.6i starting
         CACTID: Time: 0.5750 s, Threads: 1, Hosts: 2
no rrd files created.
then i turned the debug on,and got the log as the attachment.
this is my environment:
Operating System: winxp with sp2
Webserver: apache2.2.4
Cacti: 0.8.6j
Cactid: i use this onehttp://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=20664
MySQL: 5.0.45
PHP: 5.2.4
RRDTool (Cygwin or Win32 version): 1.2.23-w32
Net-SNMP: 5.4.1-1
Cygwin (cygwin1.dll version): 1.5.24

need help or any suggestion,thx

I sure hope your scheduled task is running poller.php and you're changing between cmd.php and cactid, in cacti's settings right?

No, you don't need to reinstall XP.

As for cacti, yea the debug log seems ok for the most part. Instead of copying the text from the command window, get the actual cacti log file from /cacti/log/cacti.log and post that. It seems you're missing the entires related to cacti updating the rrd files.

If you installed cacti/apps yourself, I strongly recommend you read through my installation guide to make sure you didnt miss anything: http://bsod2600.home.comcast.net/install_windows.html

i delete all devices, just add my pc as the only one
then run cactid,it's the log.
in fact,i have read your guide before install cacti and follow it.
but only make some change to fix the php and mysql 's bug.

Why are you manually running cactid? You should ONLY be running poller.php.
