I do, as do some of the mirror sites, but I'd rather you not use it at all.

What issues are you having? Might be easier for you to just follow my installation guide instead.

right now after a bunch of issues I ended up with graphs with no headers

I read a post about patching it and tried that but the machine said it already had those patches

I already tried playing with different versions of java and that doesnt seem to fix the issue

You're going in the majorly wrong direction.

1) For graph issues read http://docs.cacti.net/node/283
2) My latest cacti installer has the latest patches
3) Cacti doesn't use Java.

sorry I meant PHP.......after a few days of trying to troubleshoot this......I am slightly fried LOL

I dont have a problem with snmp/graphs not showing the value of the variable

Its the headers of all graphs that are missing (I tried several things such as downgrading to older php versions and then recreating the graphs, still the result seems to be the same

Thanks for your help btw

hmm, interesting. Double check the rrdtool version is set correctly. Also, make sure the font path points to a valid font file.

I checked the path to the font, its the default and the one I have in my working cacti installation

Imagine my surprise when I cant find the file it points to in either machine :P

RRDTool version set to 1.2.x

btw and while I supose this makes zero sense

I switched the path to the font file to any of the other files present in the windows/fonts and now it works (Thanks!)

Of course this doesnt explain why one setting works in one machine and not in the other (specially when the file in question is missing in both machines!)

Possibly because my installer installs a monospaced font, which normally isn't present on Windows. Sounds like your AV stopped the installer from installing the font ...
