I apologize in advance if this is a documented issue of some sort, but I couldn't find anything about it.
I checked my cacti the other day to find that about half of the ports were labeled with "|query_ifName|" instead of the actual interface name (such as Fa0/1). If I go under "Data Sources" and select an interface, the actual interface name shows under "Index Value."
I'm wondering if there is a way to do something to fix these without having to manually get the interface number and replace |query_ifName| with it, since |query_ifName| should get it automatically.
Please let me know if I didn't describe that clearly enough or if any additional information is needed.
First shot: Please filter for those broken graphs from graph management. Select all broken ones and "Reapply SUggested Names" from the action dropdown
Reinhard
I just tried that, but it didn't fix the issue. |query_ifName| still appears instead of the actual name. It's weird because it's only on half of them...no idea how that could've happened.
Please select a single host for the next try. Edit this host and press the green circle next to the failing Data Query. Then, Reapply suggested names again and post your findings

(Almost) each graph is associated to any host. Pleas find a failing graph and edit the host that's associated with this graph. Then, refresh the Data Query by pressing the green circle
