Cacti reporting times

Hi All, forgive teh stupid question but to what granularity can i get cacti reporting to.

Currentl i have it running via grontab polling every 5 mins. I can obvously decreese this to polling every minute.

2 questions.

1. Will the graphs update any quicker? I mean will i still only get averaged data for the last 5mins etc?

2. Is it possible to have cacti polling collecting and displaying data second by second?

This feature will be part of upcoming 0.8.6k. But to be honest, the implementation currently is erraneous. We're on the run fixing it
