Error when configuring cactid

I am getting this error when configuring cactid:
Cannot find NET-SNMP libraries(snmp)... checking UCD-SNMP
checking for snmp_timeout in -lsnmp... no
configure: error: Cannot find UCD-SNMP libraries(snmp)

Any ideas?

Does anyone know what exact filename it's looking for?

My specs are as follows:
root@dnserver4 [~/cacti-cactid-0.8.6i]# php -v

You will need net-snmp-libs as well
