Installing Smoke Ping

Hi! I had a general question regarding how to install the smoke ping plugin. Do we actually need to have smokeping to install this plugin. I have smoke ping installed and have started it using /usr/local/smokeping/bin/smokeping & how does this integrate into Cacti?

Smokeping in cacti lingo is not a plugin but a Template. I'm referring to http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=10049. You will not any any further ressource. It is build to mimic the original smoekping but it won't need any ressource of it apart from rrdtool itself

Thank you galdalf, so the actual smokeping binary is not even necessary. Thanks for the tip.
