Cisco catalyst 2950 et 4000

Post by OnEal »

Hello people,

I'm a noob in Cacti and I would like make graph concerning the Cisco Catalyst 2950 and Catalyst 4000

I would like graph :
- Traffic in and out on the network interfaces of my catalyst
- Collisions / Errors
- CPU utilization (optionally) => hardware part

Concerning the Catalysts 4000 switches :
- I would like monitor the same informations.
- And if its possible in more monitor the traffic by VLAN
- Monitor the routing effort (for example the quantity of routing packets).

If you know in more other interesting monitoring, thank you to give me it.

I have take a look in this topic -> http://forums.cacti.net/about15067.html
But there is many templates and I do not know which to use.

Thank you for your help.

Hi

See http://forums.cacti.net/about4846.html for Cat4500 templates.

For traffic stats you can just use the default interface stats thats comes with Cacti. This will allow you to monitor in and outbound traffic through your ports.

I don't use Cat switches but use Extreme and the traffic stats templates works fine for me.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your response.
I have problem to get the CPU charge of my 4006 and 4003 switches, and the temperature.

I use the Cisco MIB SNMPv2-SMIV2.

Do you know the OID of these stuffs ?

Thank you in advance for your help.
