Ok I just rebuilt the pc again.


All I need to do is download your installer and then do the post-install configuration right?

Cant access web interface!

Hi, I finished installing cacti succesfully, but when I try to access index.php this msg appears:

The page cannot be displayed
You have attempted to execute a CGI, ISAPI, or other executable program from a directory that does not allow programs to be executed.

Contact the Web site administrator if you believe this directory should allow execute access.

the problem is solved!
we must change Excute Permissions from the website directory properties.Change it to Scripts & Executables instead of Scripts Only

But I've another problem :))))
I cant see z graphs in cacti, it appears like the pictures can not be displayed.
Do u have any advice??

Both of you make sure Script Engine is checked for the .php application configuration in IIS (read post-install.html).

I tried 2 add a router that am sure its SNMP is configured properly & it goes smooth.So I guess z problem was in the clients that I want collect their data.
do u have any tips in configuring z clients in an optimum manner??
a step-by-step scheme will also be helpfull.

thx 4 ur great efforts with all these ppl :)

I now have a problem with the graph not showing up. When I do a debug on them I get

As stated in the first post of this thread, PHP 5.2.1 has issues and users should upgrade to PHP 5.2.3.

Ok I upgraded and when I do a debug I get the below error message. I check the file path and there is only .placeholder in that folder. So I guess the information isn't being placed in the folder or created.


ERROR: opening 'C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/cacti/rra/ny_3750_switch_stack_5min_cpu_13.rrd': No such file or directory

Hi,

Need some help on Cacti. I have installed IIS and Cacti for WinXP.

But when I point my internet browser to c:/Inetpub/wwwroot/cacti/index.php there are no graphic interface, instead it show me a page of html codes. When I tried to get into the pages to create new device, it show me whole page of html codes.

Can any kind soul advice me on this?

Sounds like the installer didnt get all the PHP stuff registered correctly with IIS. read the installation guide in my signature related to PHP and IIS sections.
