Poller.php not committing results

Post by apiatech »

Our DB server was having issues so we reinstalled it last week. All DBs came up fine, however, after upgrading to MySQL 5, I have lost ALL graph data. If I run poller.php by hand, I get data back on the command line (Linux FC4), but I don't see anything in the poller table. I am using 0.8.6j.

I have 74 hosts. Here are the record counts in the poller tables.
poller = 0
poller_command = 0
poller_item = 3046
poller_output = 39
poller_reindex = 180
poller_time = 4 (I have configured Cacti for 4 pollers due to the time it takes to poll the data)

It seems the RRAs are being updated, but the graphs are empty (now since 6/26/07)

Snippet from cacti.log:

07/02/2007 12:51:30 AM - SYSTEM STATS: Time:170.0649 Method:cmd.php Processes:4 Threads:N/A Hosts:73 HostsPerProcess:19 DataSources:3046 RRDsProcessed:1257

Crontab entry:

*/5 * * * * root /www/php/bin/php /www/htdocs/cacti/poller.php > /dev/null 2>&1 && root /www/php/bin/php /www/htdocs/cacti/plugins/thold/check-thold.php > /dev/null 2>&1 && root /www/php/bin/php /www/htdocs/cacti/plugins/reports/check-reports.php > /dev/null 2>&1

I am also receiving a bunch of the following errors:

07/02/2007 01:31:35 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[##] DS[###] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result:

You should have not lost all graph data when you upgrade to mysql 5, the data is stored in the rra directory in rrdtool files.

Also, what do you mean you are running 4 pollers?
