Hi All,
This is my first post to the forum.
Im running Cacti 0.8.6j on Win32 using cmd.php.
Im mostly monitoring interface stats on switches and routers. However, i have a problem monitoring Cisco switches over high latency links (around 400ms+). When i go to create interface stat graphs for the host i only get "index" and "status". I dont get all the other properties. The strange thing is that i can monitor a PIX firewall OK at these remote sites..
I have tried increasing the snmp timeout value to its highest value. I have also tried increasing the "The Maximum SNMP OID's Per SNMP Get Request" to 50.
Now im a bit stuck... Any help would br greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Andy

Make sure you are:
1) running PHP 5.1 or higher
2) using snmpV2
3) php_snmp

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?

I tried to upgrade to php 5.2.3, however, after the upgrade none of the cacti pages appeared at all (just blank page, no errors)
I ran through the configuration notes for modifying php.ini, enabling the isapi filter etc but still nothing. I have reverted back to php 5.0.5.
I also tried snmpv2, this did not make a difference under php5.0.5
Im using net-snmp, im not sure how to change this in the settings screen. I suspect when i installed php 5.0.5 i didnt include php-snmp?
I know this is not really cacti related but do you have any suggestions on how to upgrade to php 5.2.3?
I just ran the windows installer over the existing installation. I only installed mysql, snmp and sockets support.
any help most appreciated....

I'm pretty sure you also need the session extension.andy123 wrote: I just ran the windows installer over the existing installation. I only installed mysql, snmp and sockets support.

Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

PHP 5.1 supports the bulk method of performing walks. This is the absolute minimum. Otherwise, you will have to disable php_snmp and use the Net-snmp binaries. If doing this, you must also select snmpv2.
