So, the reason that it went to 292 was due to a segmentation fault of one ot the Cactid processes around 6/21/2007 at 6:45:22 PM. Do you have any cactid.core files laying around? If you can build the binary in debug mode, we can get a core file the next time it happens.

you will use the following configure syntax. Then, make sure the poller has rw access to the Cactid binary directory. That's important.
./configure CFLAGS="-O -g -fno-inline"

It looks like this may be an issue in converting a string to long. Not too sure yet. I am still tracking it down. It's in Cygwin though from what I can see.
The stackdump did not contain a full dump. Likely because it was in Cygwin. I check in the code where I use this function for now.
