Can't poll snmp from Debiain hosts?

Post by Fyre2012 »

Hi everyone

I have cacti pulling snmp data from a number of hosts using FreeBSD, CentOS and Gentoo, but my Debian servers don't seem to want to send out anything.

When I'm logged into the Deb machines, I can snmpwalk the localhost, but not if i use it's public IP or it's hostname.

I can't snmpwalk from remote servers, however I'm using the same /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf file on all servers. Everything that isn't Debian can connect.

Any ideas why this might be? There are no firewalls on the servers, nor is anything funky like SELinux running.

Thanks =)
