After that i had have problems with sql tables. It seems that manage 0.5 and 0.51 do not create them well. I have many errors like
mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in ... and with some work viewing some files, i could create all the tables and fields missing in automatic setup.
For that i have seen in Settings->misc->Debug (Click here to verify your tables)that some tables and fields were missing.

In devices i dont save parameters, i cannot see any devices in cacti manage tab, and "TCP ports" and "windows services" do not show anything.

Can someone told me when i can find a file for manage_0.5 or manage_0.5.1
with all correct tables and fields necessary for this plugin?

<aol>me too</aol>

I've just installed Manage 0.5.1, and pretty much anywhere it tries to talk to the database, I get "supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource" - the Sites, Groups, Devices pages, the Manage tab...
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.

Status is always 'waiting'

Post by atilla439 »

I must be missing a step somewhere. I've got everything installed properly as far as I can tell. I have configured groups, sites, devices, etc. When I click on the manage tab it shows the devices, but the status of each is the color of blue which is "waiting". I have the poller scheduled to run every minute and it runs as far as I can tell, but the Last poll date stays at 0.

My poller output is:
06/25/2007 03:29:19 PM - MANAGE: Poller[0] Checking Manage
nb pollers : 5
7 9 81 19 12 51
count : 6
N : 1
reste : 1
reste different de 0
nouvelle valeur de N : 2
exec 1 -> 2 snmp 7 9
exec 3 -> 4 snmp 81 19
exec 5 -> 6 snmp 12 51
exec 7 -> 6 snmp

A debug of my tables shows everything is green (OK).

What am I missing?

Thanks,

Cory

So in a fresh install, these were missing:

Code: Select all

Table 'manage_sites' : 	NOK	(0.5)
Table 'manage_tcp' : 	NOK	(0.5)
Table 'manage_poller_output' : 	NOK	(0.5)
Champ 'thresold_ref' from table 'manage_host' : 	NOK	(0.5)
Champ 'thresold' from table 'manage_host' : NOK	(0.5)
Champ 'mail' from table 'manage_host' : NOK	(0.5)
Champ 'site_id' from table 'manage_groups' : 	NOK	(0.5)
Not sure what 'champ' means, but messing with the 1-*.sql and 5-*.sql files eventually got the debug to show no errors.

In a fresh install of 0.5.1 for cacti 0.8.6j, here's the sql orders that I had to do to avoid sql errors in the interface :

Code: Select all

CREATE TABLE manage_sites ( id MEDIUMINT(8) NOT NULL auto_increment, name TEXT, PRIMARY KEY  (id) );
CREATE TABLE manage_host_services ( id mediumint(8) unsigned NOT NULL default '0', services mediumint(8) unsigned NOT NULL default '0', statut text);
ALTER TABLE manage_host_services RENAME manage_tcp;
ALTER TABLE manage_host ADD `thresold_ref` MEDIUMINT(8) unsigned NOT NULL default '1';
ALTER TABLE manage_host ADD `thresold` MEDIUMINT(8) unsigned NOT NULL default '0';
ALTER TABLE manage_host ADD `mail` TEXT;
ALTER TABLE manage_groups ADD site_id MEDIUMINT NOT NULL;
Otherwise it seems to be a nice plugin ;-)

Process monitor issue

Post by tbaror »

Hello,

I have started to use Manage to monitor essential process running, but it seems that its get the info about the process from graph data which indicate the process name wrong with one character missing.
Result manage announce process not running.
Below attached screen shots with few test I made.
Please advise how to fix that issue.

Thanks in advanced
