I'm using cacti for a couple of years now... happily
But now i've got a problem which results in all my graphs showing nan.
I think that the problem first occured because of a security update of the PHP installation resulting in a 100% CPU (2x 1,4 GHz) and memory (3GB) load untill the server came to a complete standstill. Most memory was used by MySQL and the poller
I reverted back the php installation to the previous version. Setup php.ini with 64MB memory, MySQL up to 2000 connections. Changed the poller to a 5min. cycle (before it was 1min because some scripts needed that) . The cacti DB as a result was corrupted too but this has been satisfactorily corrected. The load is back to normal now...
Then i checked the nan issues discussed in (Debug NaN's your graphs) where i found that in the cacti log i'm not able to find a line like:
rrdtool update "filename" --template-
This looks to me as if the poller does not even try to create rrd's.
What could be the reason of this or the NaN's ? Any help or suggestions ?
All graphs are still nan

Cacti is working again after lot's of changes... while not one of those single steps brought me back my Cacti, all of them combinded did.
Revert back to the previous default version of PHP 4.x out of Suse Linux 10.0 Box....
Applying all patches for Cacti version h
Upgrade to Cacti version j
Applying all patches for Cacti version j
It means i could not bring the old Cacti installation back to a workable condition. I could not find out what caused the nan graphs... bad if there is no further patches or higher version to upgrade to.
Perhaps i was just lucky here...
