Have you tried refreshing your snmp query? In the device page for your router do a "verbose query" for the SLA query - this should refresh things.gpetme wrote:I'd like these to now reflect my tags (such as ICMP and VoIP) rather than the default index (1,2,3,4,etc). Does anyone know how I can rename my existing graphs? I tried renaming it under Data Sources -> "<host> SAA Basic - 1" but the graphs don't get updated. Anyone got any ideas here?
[XML] Cisco IP SLA templates (AKA RTR & SAA)

I'm using this on a 3800, and running into some problems with the 'newer' cisco_saa.xml template.
I put an older file (named cisco_saa.xml) into my snmp_queries directory. When I imported the cacti_data_query_cisco_ip_sla_statistics_647.xml file via cacti, I was able to add the query to my device, and I had a nice line showing my tagged SAA instance, and I could pick up Jitter statistics from it. I had errors with some of the other queries, and determined that I needed to use the cisco_saa_131.xml file in my snmp_queries directory. I dropped it in there and renamed it to cisco_saa.
But now when I try to add a graph, the SAA area is totally hosed- every item is on a single line, rather than every item for an instance. (I only have on instance of SAA running on this router.)
The router is running 12.4(11)T code. I don't _think_ it's the router, because when I have the old cisco_saa.xml data query in place, it behaves as expected. But once I drop in the new cisco_saa_131.xml file, things get crazy. I've tried deleting the device, deleting the data queries and the templates, and re-adding everything. Same behavior every time, depending upon the version oi cisco_saa.xml in my directory.
I've attached the sucessful import, and the two different behaviors I'm seeing, based upon the .xml file I'm using. Any suggestions as to what I need to correct?

cisco_saa_131.xml does not import
I am using Cacti 0.8.6j on Linux with plugin architecture 1.1. Everything is working fine in general. I imported the cacti_data_query_cisco_ip_sla_statistics_647.xml just fine, but cisco_saa_131.xml does not import. When I cut and paste the contents of the XML, the import function in Cacti gives me a XML syntax error.
Any help on fixing this would be appreciated.

I'll keep that in mind next time around... I got impatient and deleted the graphs and started over. I only lost about a month worth of data, so it's not that big of a deal...
Thanks for the tip.

Hi styrofoam, please can you post both versions of the XML snmp query, I don't have a copy of the old version and I'd like to compare them.styrofoam wrote: I've attached the sucessful import, and the two different behaviors I'm seeing, based upon the .xml file I'm using. Here's the two templates- cisco_saa.xml is the original query that gets data for just the jitter statistics. The cisco_saa_131.xml files queries additional data fields, but for some reason this is showing up as "X items, X lines" when I add it.

Thank you for these templates, they're awesome.
Everything is working fine, except for the voip scoring.
The ICPIF value is always 1 whereas the MOS score is always 4.34. I have tried several ip sla setups (3750 switch with 12.2(25)SEE and a 2811 router with 12.4(3g)), both the setups give the same results.
Does anyone have a clue what might be wrong? Is there a minimum version of the IOS device that runs the responder?

I don't think there is anything wrong, it just implies you have a very pristine network adequate for VoIP. I believe the calculation of MOS and ICPIF varies by vendors but basically for VoIP, at least for the ICPIF scoring, the variables are delay, packet loss, and codec. So unless your test packet is not having any big changes on delay and packet loss (since codec doesn't change), you will almost always get same value.
Hello
I'm a newby in Cacti.....
I search a manual to import and activate templates.
I want reading out a Cisco ubr7200 with rtr application...
I heave the folowing steps "testet"...
1) I copy the cisco_saa.xml file to the
/usr/local/cacti-0.8.6j/resource/snmp_queries directory
2) I've linked the copied file with the Data Queries.....
3) I want to Import The Graph Templates :
cacti_data_query_cisco_saa.xml
--> never was comming en answer only a white window
--> when i want import the template again
"Cacti has imported the following items:
[fail] m [new]"
-> no upload botton is displayed
4) I create the Saa Graphs for a Host, but never measuring and
Graphs the tool...
What i'm doing wrong??

Currently I'm testing a hunch that the Boost plugin is the cause for my troubles for not being able to get these templates to work.
On the dev box where I have boost turned off, it was graphing. After enabling boost on the dev box, it stopped graphing again.
Has anyone managed to get these templates AND boost working?

Can you explain to me that how to calculate these values?
Hello. I got the SAA Jitter/Error chart.
But I did not know that how did you calculate these value, such as the Maximum value in Loss(S->D). I got "34.44m". Can you give me the formula?

Eureka!
After my pestering, TheWitness fixed a bug in Boost, releasing Boost v1.4.
If anyone is using boost; you need to upgrade to Boost v1.4 to be able to use these Cisco IP SLA templates with boost.
