Windows Server 2003 - no .rrd files generated

I'm not getting any .rrd files. I've checked all of my paths to cactid and to rrdtool. When I run poller.php from the command line it runs fine but doesn't return anything back to the screen. There are no errors or anything generated to the cacti log but I know the cacti log is working because it has errors from before related to MySQL from before I finished setting up MySQL. It seems to be an issue with the RRDTool or Cactid but I really don't know. I'm totally stumped. Can anyone give me a hand or point me to what data I need to collect and provide so someone can? Thanks.

Which version of the RRDTool are you using.

Have you tried it with this version:

Sounds like a permissions issue. Does the poller account you are using have access to the RRA folder and it's contents ?

That version of RRDTool is quite old. I am using RRDTool version 1.2.23.

Only rrdtool 1.2.15 and later works with cacti using the Win32 build. All earlier versions must use the Cygwin build. That is problem #1.

As I have learned today.

- Check NTFS permissions
- Use RRDTool from Cacti website: http://www.cacti.net/downloads/rrdtool/win32 (also set a valid font with correct path-> "Console -> Cacti Settings -> Visual" )
- Also set correct "RRDTool Utility Version" to correct used version. (Cacti Settings (General))

Should work.
