Device Status down

hello everybody I m have a little problem(for me a big problem) with the status of devices. It is shwwing down. it is possible to switch the device On-up? Tell me please what I have to do change the status to ON.

well i have the same problem
if you switch don't use snmp he is always down
to up he need snmp

i think if you don't writ on snmp when you create device i think
cacti show only the device on or off?
try and tell me please?

i ping my routeur he is a no snmp routeur
and cacti don't find
:(

well you can see
i try to ping my no snmp routeur " Freebox " don't work
and i try to ping a site well
cacti don't recognise no snmp machine :(

You can't force the status to be up.
Cacti's poller will always check host availablity prior to poll real data. It will use UDP/ICMP Ping and/or SNMP checks. The specific tests were changed from cacti 0.8.6i to j.
You can "disable" those checks by leaving the community string of a specific host empty. Of course this will not help in cases where you try to gather data using SNMP

Hello,

I also have a Freebox and it's now working, my device is up :D

To do so I had to had a graph (Unix - Ping Latency) to point the Freebox internal adress and it's working fine, here are views from my Cacti.
