After running Cacti successfully for 3 weeks, the graphs no longer displayed any data after 03:20. After troubleshooting, it became apparent that while the poller process was running properly and returning data from the various OID's of the hosts I am querying, that the RRD files for each instance were no longer being updated. The time stamp on the files reflects the last time the RRD was touched by rrdtool. Here is what I know:
- It is not an issue WRT the time in the RRD files and the system time.
- Both Cactid and cmd.php run successfully without errors, both as a cronjob and manually.
- Graph debugging reports OK on any and all graphs.
- The disk has plenty of space; the total number of RRD files is ~ 1200, since I've run Cacti installs with well over 2000, I'm not concerned.
- There have been no changes to the Cacti configuration or server in over 1 week.
I am running the latest version with all patches applied, and the Cacti Plugin Architecture (though all plugins have now been disabled). RRDTool is v1.2.15.
This is a tad embarrassing because I have been promoting the ISP Billing script and obviously a "no data" situation does not impress the powers that be.
Thoughts?
