Dell Printer Templates

Post by Mondo1287 »

There are two templates, one for monochrome printers, one for color. The graphs show page counts and ink levels. The monochrome graph also shows the toner page count, and shows pages left on the toner. The color graphs show the percentage of ink usuage for each toner, but I could not get page counts for each toner, either used or remaining.

Thanks for the template i really like that people put on the web what i couldnt figure out how to do. I put this template on my cacti for a dell 3110cn printer hoping it would be fairly accurate and im not sure what to think just yet. I will attach my graph in hopes someone will understand what it means.

That'd be 2080 pages.

Now your ink levels, I'll have to go back and look but those should be percentages. I have one of those printers around here so I'll investigate for you, I'll get back to you later this week.

On the subject of the template for Monochrome printers:

One thing I noticed the other day is that my snmp query for toner page count may actually be the page count since the last power cycle. I haven't had time to look into it. Someone let me know if that's the case.

hi,

thanks for the template. I just installed it. It works fine. Except the yellow and black ink remains at zero. Does anyone fixed this?

Thanks,
grassu

Fixed!

Have a look into the Data Templates: Dell Color Ink - Black and Dell Color Ink - Yellow.

There is maximum Value set to 100. THAT couldn't work! Set it to 0 and the data will flow. ;)

Dell 1600N

Post by mvonherr »

I tried this, and the page counts work great.

The Toner gives a NAN.
I did an snmpwalk, and .1.3.6.1.2.1.43.11.1.1.9.1.1 returns -3 as an answer. That didn't seem right, but I couldn't from looking at the snmpwalk tell which one was the toner level. Anybody every figure this one out?
