Thold & Manage Plugin Host Alerts

Post by cooldude919 »

Hello,

I am having a little problem. I am using thold and manage plugin. I want to be able to have host up/down email notifications on some hosts but not others. I do not see a way to do this with just thold, as it seems to do all devices added, right? Unless you disable all checks on the device, but then it doesnt even show if its up or down, just says disabled. I tried having the manage plugin do the email alerts, but when a host goes down the manage tab shows the device as "thresolded" or something like that, not as "down" so it does not send an email alert.

Basically i will be monitoring equipment at some hotels, and anywhere from 10-40 access points at each one. I do not want 40 emails if the circuit to the hotel goes down, but i still want do be able to monitor these access points( i am graphing assosiations). If i can get the manage plugin to do it then on the access points i can just uncheck the manage box and all will be well.

Cooldude919 - Click on Device Managing / Devices / Host in question, and have a look at the threshold level. If it's set at '0', you won't get any alerts. Change it to '1' to be alerted on the 1st failure, '2' to be alerted after two failures etc.
