Re: Dumb question about templates
A backdoor/MacGyver method would be to spin up a version 8.x server, import your templates and upgrade that install. Once complete, export those templates and bring them into your prod server.

You need to go into the permission settings of the logged in user and enable those side buttons. New 'feature'.

Re: Real Time Graph have Gaps
The gap here is appearing because Cacti believes there is no data. Look at the current value. Zero = no graph.

Re: how to limit Cacti data size
FYI. My Cacti VM config is set for 25 GB and it's been running for years . It's only maybe at 10 GB with just under 100 devices being polled in 1 minute intervals. If this is a new install, that growth should be expected. All the RRD files will be created taking up space, but once created, they will...

That is correct. Search this forum with the manufacturers name to see if someone posted templates for your firewall.

Yes, my site is down. Thank Verizon. Anyhow, I don't know why you're getting any errors. I am currently using those templates on my system at this time.

Re: Recommendation for Cacti Poller process and threads
Cacti running on Linux is tiny. I have a VMWare box with 8 cores and 64 GB of ram running a VM with 3 cores, 6 GB RAM alongside 10 other various servers and I have no issues. The other servers are a Windows Server 2008 R2, 4 Windows 7 and about 4 other CentOS servers. You should be good. I have abou...

What are your settings for this device? SNMP and PING, SNMP or PING, SNMP only, PING only? Are you sure the device is reachable by the Cacti server?

Perhaps you found the offending device? Try to disable that one and enable another.

Re: cc , and took 1.21 seconds, Subject 'Cacti System Warning - Maximum runtime of 298 seconds exceeded for poller id 1.
I see you have only 10 hosts. Disable them one at a time or maybe two, and check after a couple of polling cycles. When you have located the slow responders, adjust the polling settings on the host information page. (Console > Management > Devices) Depending on how you are trying to reach these host...

One of your polled devices is taking too long to respond. You need to find out which one and fix it.
