There a way to shut this behavior off?
Having six trees, going through the effort of closing five of them to get to last tree, then clicking something in the last tree, then all trees opening up. Mildly irritating.

Cent OS Version & 1.0.0 Guide Book
Hi. I bought the 0.8 beginner's guide late last year and am only just getting around to potentially rebuilding our server. It says Cent OS 5.5 (at least). So to ask a stupid question, is Cent OS 7 ok? Also, I have the 0.8 guide. Its updated to 1.0.0. Is there another downloadable? I actually bought ...

Capturing RF Spectrum Data?
I found a program that can gather RF data off of modems that are set up as probes. Is it possible to get another graph set up to store this data in Cacti? Not sure if there is an "RF" Graph in Cacti, or if there are threshold points that can be used to capture snapshots of when RF drops to...

Planning on upgrading our Cacti Interface - Cable Modems
Right now we're running on what I believe is a five year old Cacti graphing interface that has been maintained "as needed," and does not reflect where things should be. The individual that built it built it in such a way that it cannot be altered without some serious assistance from somebo...

Re: Scripting adding IP's with descriptions embedded in a tr
The person who installed Cacti originally decided to go against the cd /var/www/html/cacti/plugin standard. Instead I have a file structure that's all over the place. Is there a way to install a patch or plugin through the web gui? root@cacti-2:/var/www/html/cacti# patch -p0 -N < cacti-plugin-arch/f...

Scripting adding IP's with descriptions embedded in a tree?
Tree Trunk -Subtrunk --mydevice;ip;snmpversion;snmpcommunity;hosttemplate Can I do this with a script? Where do I specify which tree it goes under? Looking at page 275, in chapter 12, it is for adding tree rules. I don't have "tree rules." [edit]... probably because I don't have Autom8...[...

Re: Assistance/advice Cacti, Nagios, MacTrack
Hi JMH, You can automate Cacti by using the CLI interface it has. That way you can create devices and use the Autom8 plugin to automatically generate graphs for e.g. interfaces and place the devcies on the Cacti tree. This requires some standardization ( e.g. device naming, Interface description ) ...

Cacti changes / page changes
Hi folks. I am rebuilding Cacti for our office. I will be adding the Nagios plugin and the MACTrack plugin in order to track our cable modems without having to go with static IP. First, here's hoping that what I just said is 100% doable. Second, question about the page structure. The naming conventi...

Assistance/advice Cacti, Nagios, MacTrack
Hello. New employee walking into a terrible cluster of a setup on a cable plant. Currently, we have Nagios, where we see the up/down status on the IP, which for a chunk of our system is static IP's. Then we have Cacti to check levels, which again requires manual entries on static IP's. I want to com...

Re: Setting up Mac Track [SOLVED]
Hi. Is it possible to use this for docsis devices? Right now we're using this for our cable plant, and using static ip's. Because we're using static IP's, our DHCP system is using static IP's. Its a nightmare. We're in the process of rolling out a new dhcp system and I want to take the static system...

Tree Item Value Host Dropdown to input field
Is there an addin for the tree item value?
I would love to type the IP for host value instead of having to scroll through a field that thinks that 10.10.3.x and 10.10.32.x are next to each other.
