Today I upgraded from cmd.php to cactid. As I need to run my scripts as a different user (not root or cactiuser), I edited the /etc/cron.d/cacti file to start the poller as a different user. This worked well with the old poller but cactid is starting all scripts as root which is not working for me. ...

Awesom scripts! Really saved me a lot of work.
But I have the same problem as "stutz" above: Can someone who is smarter in scripting than me provide a way to populate the custom fields like ip address?
I also have to put it in by hand for over 1500 entries
