Everyday is Sunday!
I have cacti running on Centos, 0.8.6i.
It was working great, but all of the sudden my graphs are showing the wrong days!
Any idea how to fix this? (It would be best to be able to keep my rrd files as well.

'Unix - Ping Latency' Acting differently in two installs
I have two cacti servers with the intent to move to the newest one. One is 0.8.6h and the other is 0.8.6i. When I setup the ping latency graphs, the 0.8.6h version allows me to enter the ip address to ping, the 0.8.6i does not even give me this field. Here are screenshots below: Any idea on how to g...

Well with that in mind, I still need to use the rrdtool dump command in order to to move my .rrd files. Here are the commands I am using: rrdtool dump filename.rrd > filename.xml rrdtool restore filename.xml > filename.rrd Thats great and all, but I have over 400 .rrd files to do this to. Is there a...

Yea so it looks like I have a mess on my hands... after playing with this for the past 4 days I have encountered some new obstacles. I am using a newer version of cacti with plugins that require the mysql database to stay in tact. So If I simply copy over the top of the existing database on the new ...

Migration of Cacti From Old Server to New Server
I have just finished installing Cacti 0.8.6h with CentOS on my new powerful server, but have yet to have migrated the data from my old server. My old server is cacti 0.8.6h as well with FreeBSD. I know I need to pull over my rra and log files for all of the past data. How exactly do I move the mysql...

to answer my own question...
Chapter 4. Upgrading Cacti 1. Backup the old Cacti database. shell> mysqldump -l --add-drop-table cacti > mysql.cacti Note: You will probably have to specify the -u and -p flags for the MySQL username and password. This user must have permission to read from Cacti's database or you will end up with ...

Best Practice: Updating Cacti from 0.8.6d to 0.8.6h
Running on FreeBSD, what is the best method for upgrading cacti to the latest version? Can anybody share their experience with updating and anything extra that people should know about? I have another thread open in which I am running into some problem updating: http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php...
