I know nothing about cacti can you please help me get started. I am running motarola canopy gear. All I would like to do is graph the network bandwidth of a few devices.

I just did a new install. This is my first time using Cacti. I am adding a device and i get
Can I put the ip address for the hostname

do I have to install or enable anything on the computer that I want to monitor

both the server and the client are running ubuntu linux
